AssetTracker Site Sharing Goes Live for View-Only Access

SmartKit Updates
July 19, 2026

AssetTracker Site Sharing is now live as part of the July 19, 2026 update.

Teams can now generate public, view-only links for specific sites inside AssetTracker, making it easier to share location-based asset information without exposing the full workspace.

Share One Site Instead of Everything

Previously, the Share page supported individual device sharing and the full master dashboard.

Now, users can choose any site in their workspace and generate a secure link for that specific location only. This is useful for clients, contractors, branch managers, auditors, or external stakeholders who only need visibility into one site.

Site Details in One Clean View

Each Site Share link opens a clean public view of the selected site.

The shared page includes the site profile and key site information, giving viewers quick context about the location without needing access to the internal AssetTracker dashboard.

Assigned Devices Included

Site Share links include a complete list of devices deployed at or assigned to that site.

The device list is filterable, helping viewers quickly find a specific laptop, phone, printer, router, or other tracked asset connected to that location.

SIM Card Visibility

AssetTracker Site Sharing also includes active SIM card visibility.

If SIM cards are connected to the selected site, they appear in the shared view alongside the site’s assigned assets, giving external viewers a clearer picture of what is active at that location.

Strict Read-Only Security

Site Share links are view-only by design.

Anyone with the link can view the shared site data, but they cannot edit, add, delete, assign, return, or modify anything inside the AssetTracker workspace.

This keeps internal records protected while still allowing the right information to be shared outside the team.

Available From the Share Page

The new Site Sharing option is available from the AssetTracker Share page.

Users can click the new Share Specific Site button, select a site, and generate a secure public link for that location.

This update gives AssetTracker teams a more precise way to share site-level asset information, keeping external collaboration simple while internal control stays secure.
