AttendTrack Dynamic QR Codes and Public Kiosk Mode Go Live

AttendTrack received a major security and kiosk workflow update on July 28, 2026.

This release makes attendance scanning harder to misuse, safer to run on public tablets, and easier to manage per location.

Dynamic Employee QR Codes

AttendTrack now uses dynamic employee QR codes on the employee dashboard.

These QR codes refresh securely every 10 seconds, helping prevent screenshot-based buddy punching. If someone screenshots their QR code and sends it to another person, the code expires quickly and cannot be reused later at the kiosk.

This gives organizations stronger protection against shared or stale attendance codes while keeping the employee check-in flow simple.

Dedicated Public Kiosk Mode

Each location now has its own dedicated Public Kiosk link.

The kiosk link does not require an admin login, hides navigation menus, and locks the device into the camera scanner experience. This makes it much safer to set up a lobby tablet, reception device, school gate scanner, or event entry point.

Employees can scan their QR codes without gaining access to the admin dashboard or other management pages.

Strict Check-In and Check-Out Windows

AttendTrack now supports strict time windows for each location.

Organizations can define when check-in and check-out are allowed, such as check-in only between 08:00 and 09:00.

If an employee scans too early or too late, the kiosk rejects the scan and shows a clear message explaining when the allowed window opens or closes.

This gives managers better control over attendance timing and helps enforce location-specific rules consistently.

Cleaner Kiosk Management

Kiosk management has been moved directly into the Locations tab.

Instead of managing kiosks from a separate place, admins can now configure kiosk behavior per location, which better matches how attendance is actually used across branches, gates, offices, classrooms, and event spaces.

This update makes AttendTrack stronger for real attendance operations, with faster QR expiry, safer public kiosk setup, stricter timing rules, and cleaner location-based management.
