CaptionCast Teleprompter Scrolling and Fade Animation

SmartKit’s July 14, 2026 update brings a major visual upgrade to CaptionCast, making live captions smoother, calmer, and more professional for streams, classrooms, events, and big-screen setups.

Teleprompter Smooth Scroll

CaptionCast now uses a smooth teleprompter-style scrolling animation.

The previous crossfade text animation has been replaced with a more natural scrolling flow. As new words appear, older caption text moves upward smoothly, creating a cleaner live reading experience for viewers.

The animation is hardware-accelerated for better visual performance during live sessions.

Top Fade Mask

We added a soft fade mask to the top edge of the caption box.

As older sentences scroll upward and leave the visible area, they now fade out gradually instead of being clipped suddenly. This gives the caption overlay a more polished and screen-ready feel.

No More Blinking

Caption updates now feel more stable.

We removed the distracting behavior where the entire caption box could flash, fade out, or fade back in whenever new words were spoken. Captions now update more continuously, which makes the overlay easier to watch during longer sessions.

RTL Layout and Overflow Fix

CaptionCast now handles RTL text wrapping more reliably.

A container width issue was fixed that could cause text, especially Urdu and Arabic, to spill horizontally beyond the caption box padding. RTL captions now stay properly contained inside the overlay.

This update makes CaptionCast feel more refined for live presentation use, especially when captions are shown on streams, projectors, event screens, and multilingual setups.
