Custom Software Page, CaptionCast Accounts, and Quiz Scoring Fix

SmartKit Updates
July 15, 2026

SmartKit’s July 15, 2026 update adds a new custom software service page, improves CaptionCast’s access flow, and fixes an important Smart Forms quiz scoring issue.

Build Your Own Custom Software Page

SmartKit now includes a new Build Your Own Custom Software page.

This page introduces SmartKit’s white-label custom software offering for teams that need fully branded workflow apps, asset tracking systems, ticketing systems, internal tools, or other business software tailored to their operations.

The page also includes a quick contact form so interested teams can reach out easily.

Dashboard Custom Software Prompt

A small Build your own prompt has been added inside tool dashboards.

This gives users a simple path from using SmartKit tools to exploring fully custom branded software when they need something more specific for their business or team.

CaptionCast Account Requirement

CaptionCast now requires a free SmartKit account to create a caption session.

Signed-out visitors see a new overview page explaining what CaptionCast does and how it works. Signed-in users go directly to their CaptionCast dashboard so they can create and manage sessions.

This keeps the public introduction clean while giving active users a more organized caption workflow.

Smart Forms Quiz Scoring Fix

We fixed a Smart Forms quiz scoring bug where non-question elements on a form could incorrectly add extra points to the total possible score.

In some cases, this caused results to display totals such as 7/20 instead of the correct 7/10.

The scoring logic has been corrected, and affected past results were repaired so quiz scores now reflect the correct total possible marks.

This update makes SmartKit clearer for custom software enquiries, more structured for CaptionCast users, and more accurate for quiz scoring.
