CaptionCast turns microphone speech into clean live captions that can be controlled from one page and displayed from another, making it practical for creators, teachers, speakers, and event teams.

Browser-Based Live Captions

CaptionCast uses browser speech recognition to create live captions from your microphone.

There is no install needed to try it, and no paid transcription API is required for the core workflow. Language availability depends on browser support, with the best experience expected in modern browsers such as Chrome.

This makes CaptionCast a lightweight way to add live captions without setting up complex transcription software.

Separate Control and Overlay Pages

CaptionCast uses a simple two-page workflow.

The Control Page is where users manage the caption session, including language selection, listening controls, style presets, font size, line count, and overlay settings.

The Overlay Page is a clean display-only page designed for OBS, projectors, second monitors, and big screens. It keeps captions visible without showing control buttons or setup clutter.

OBS and Big-Screen Ready

CaptionCast is designed for screen-ready captions.

Users can add the overlay page to OBS as a Browser Source, display it on a classroom projector, or show it on an event screen.

This makes it useful for livestreams, podcast recordings, lectures, talks, training sessions, and live rooms where the audience needs readable captions.
