Advanced Quiz Protection, QR Codes, and Result Recovery

This release brings major improvements to Smart Forms and quizzes, including stronger anti-cheat controls, a new QR Code Generator, and secure ways for participants to verify registrations or recover their result links.

Advanced Quiz Anti-Cheat Improvements

The quiz anti-cheat system is now more accurate, more transparent for instructors, and fairer for students.

• The maximum number of cheating violations, including tab switching and copy or paste attempts, has increased from 3 to 5.
• The first three violations provide gentle reminders. The fourth violation now displays a clear “Last Warning!” message before the final lockout.
• Anti-cheat auto-submissions now correctly bypass required-field validation, preventing quizzes from becoming stuck when mandatory questions are blank.
• A new 1.5-second cooldown prevents a single browser action from incorrectly recording two violations at the same time.
• The Responses dashboard now shows clear, color-coded reasons for forced submissions, including a red Cheating badge and an orange Time Up badge.

New QR Code Generator

The /qr tool is now fully operational, giving users a fast and flexible way to create branded QR codes.

• The missing JavaScript generation engine has been restored.
• Add a custom logo in the center of a QR code, adjust its size, and use optional white padding to preserve scannability.
• Customize foreground and background colors, including transparent backgrounds.
• Export QR codes instantly as high-resolution PNG or SVG files.
• Use the Copy Image button to quickly paste a QR code into other applications.

We also fixed QR code rendering in the P2P File Sharing tool by moving from the discontinued RawGit service to the reliable cdnjs CDN.

New Registration Verification Portal

Form creators can now provide participants with a secure public page to check their registration or submission status.

• Create public verification links with a polished participant-facing landing page.
• Choose the field used for verification, such as Mobile Number or Unique ID.
• Mobile number verification automatically includes the international country code selector for accurate matching.
• Personalize verified success messages using dynamic tags such as {First Name} and {Unique Code}.
• Dynamic tag values are automatically displayed in bold to make important participant details stand out.
• Invalid or disabled portals now show the SmartKit header, footer, and a professional Unavailable card instead of a blank page.

Result Link Recovery and Form Improvements

Quiz and survey participants now have easier ways to retrieve secure result links.

• A Copy Link button in the Responses dashboard lets creators copy a participant’s secure result URL with one click.
• The Verification Portal now supports quizzes as well as registrations.
• Students can use the portal to retrieve their secure quiz Result Link.
• A new Access Code recovery mode allows students who used a 4-digit quiz access code to securely recover their results.
• New forms now correctly detect and save the creator’s local timezone instead of defaulting to Dubai.
• The Builder, Settings, Embed, and Responses areas now use modern SVG chevron icons in place of outdated text arrows.
