Smart Forms Cover Images Move Into the Shared Image Library

SmartKit Updates
August 13, 2026

Smart Forms has received a media management upgrade that brings existing form cover images into the shared SmartKit Image Library.

This update makes older cover images easier to reuse, organize, and manage while keeping every existing form looking exactly the same as before.

Existing Cover Images Are Preserved

All existing Smart Forms continue to display their current cover images without any action required from the creator.

The migration is designed to be seamless, so older forms are not visually changed or interrupted.

Automatic Image Library Migration

Older form covers are automatically migrated into the shared Image Library the first time the owner opens the library.

Once migrated, those images become available alongside the user's other media, making them easier to find and reuse.

Reusable Across SmartKit

Form cover images can now be selected again for new covers and reused across supported SmartKit areas.

This reduces duplicate uploads and helps users maintain a more consistent visual style across their forms and other content.

Centralized Media Control

Users can now manage these migrated cover images from one central place through the Image Library.

Storage usage remains correctly assigned to the original owner, keeping account quota tracking accurate.

Safe Deletion Handling

When a user deletes a library image, SmartKit safely removes it from any form that uses it.

This gives users full control over their media while preventing broken or confusing image references across their forms.

This update makes Smart Forms cover management cleaner, more reusable, and easier to control from the shared SmartKit media system.
