Smart Forms Adds Custom Registration Codes and Smarter Theme Colors

SmartKit Updates
June 17, 2026

On June 17, 2026, Smart Forms received new customization options for registration codes, smarter theme color handling, improved builder syncing, and important fixes for success page redirects.

This update gives creators more control over registration code formats while improving the reliability and readability of public form pages.

Custom Registration Code Length

Creators can now control the length of generated registration codes directly from Form Settings.

The new Code Length setting supports values from 4 to 20 characters, making it easier to create shorter PIN-style codes or longer registration identifiers depending on the use case.

Pure Numeric Registration Codes

Smart Forms can now generate purely numeric registration codes.

If the Prefix field is left completely blank, the system will generate numeric-only codes, such as 8341.

This is useful for simple PINs, OTP-style codes, and cases where respondents need a short and easy-to-enter registration number.

Smart Color Contrast Engine

We upgraded the form rendering engine to improve button readability.

When a very light theme color is selected, or when no custom color is provided, Smart Forms now detects the brightness of the color and automatically switches button text to a darker color when needed.

This helps prevent invisible or hard-to-read button text on light backgrounds.

Live Dropdown Syncing

The Form Builder now updates the Select Correct Answer dropdown in real time while editing Multiple Choice options.

When creators type inside option fields, the matching dropdown text updates instantly without losing focus. This makes quiz and answer setup smoother and more responsive.

Auto-Redirect Timezone Fix

We fixed a timezone mismatch between the PHP server and the database that caused the Success Page to auto-redirect instantly in some cases.

The intended 5-minute delay now works correctly across different server and database timezone conditions.

Theme Color Fallback Fix

We resolved an issue where the default blue theme color, #2563eb, was not properly rendering on the Success Page and Form View when a custom color had not been explicitly saved.

Default theme colors now display correctly across the public form experience.

Better Control and Cleaner Forms

With customizable registration codes, numeric-only code generation, smarter color contrast, live builder syncing, and reliability fixes, Smart Forms now provides a smoother experience for both creators and respondents.

We will continue improving SmartKit with practical updates that make form creation, sharing, and response management easier.
