Smart Forms Adds Smarter Result Releases and Success Redirects

On June 16, 2026, we improved how Smart Forms handles success pages, result releases, deadlines, and participant result access.

This update adds smarter redirect behavior, better result locking controls, a dedicated release date picker, improved score visibility, and several important fixes for the builder and results pages.

Smart Success Page Auto-Redirect

If a participant revisits their original Success URL more than 5 minutes after submitting a form, Smart Forms will now automatically bypass the Success screen.

Instead, they are instantly redirected to their Secret Results link, making it easier for participants to access their results without extra steps.

Dedicated Results Date Picker

The Hide Results until Deadline setting now uses a dedicated calendar picker.

This provides a cleaner and more consistent experience across browsers while enforcing a clear date and time format:

DD/MM/YYYY hh:mm AM/PM

Creators now have a more reliable way to schedule when participant results should become available.

Indefinite Result Locking

The Release Date field is no longer required when hiding results.

If a creator enables Hide Results but leaves the release date blank, participant results will remain locked indefinitely.

In this case, the public results page will display To Be Announced until the creator manually releases the results.

Smarter Release Now Button

The manual Release Now button is now more intelligent.

When clicked early, it instantly unlocks the results and automatically turns Accepting responses OFF. This immediately closes the form and helps prevent late submissions after results are released.

Always-Visible Result Score

Once a Secret Results link is unlocked, the participant's final score will always appear at the top of the results page.

This works independently of the Show Score to Users setting in the builder, ensuring unlocked results clearly display the final score.

Builder UI Sync Fix

We fixed an issue where editing an option's text did not immediately update the corresponding text inside the Select Correct Answer dropdown.

The builder now keeps option text and correct-answer choices in sync in real time.

Success Page Timezone Fix

We resolved an SQLite timezone mismatch that caused the 5-minute Success Page auto-redirect to trigger instantly after submission.

The redirect timing now behaves correctly.

Results Page Crash Fixes

We fixed two backend issues that caused the Secret Results link to throw an HTTP 500 or Fatal Error when accessed.

These fixes addressed a missing core file path and an SQL column name typo, making the results page more reliable.

Cleaner Public UI

We removed unintended emojis from the Release Now button and the public Results page.

This gives the results flow a cleaner and more professional appearance.

A Smoother Results Experience

With smarter redirects, flexible result locking, better scheduling controls, clearer score visibility, and important reliability fixes, Smart Forms now offers a smoother experience for both creators and participants.
