SmartKit Gets a New Dashboard, Guest Mode, and Redesigned Homepage
SmartKit received one of its biggest navigation and usability upgrades yet as part of the August 6, 2026 update.
This release rebuilds the signed-in experience, introduces Guest Mode for instant tool access without an account, and gives the homepage a fresh, faster landing page that makes every SmartKit tool easier to discover.
A New SmartKit Dashboard
The logged-in dashboard has been completely rebuilt into a cleaner, more modern control center at /dashboard.
The new dashboard includes a sidebar, global tool search with Ctrl + K or Cmd + K, tool categories, Recent tools, and Favorites in one place.
Instead of jumping around the site to find what you need, users now get a central workspace that feels faster, clearer, and more organized.
Guest Mode Is Now Live
SmartKit now includes Guest Mode at /guest.
Visitors who are not signed in can start using instant tools right away without creating an account. Premium tools are clearly marked, so guests can understand what becomes available after signing up.
This gives new users a smoother first experience and makes SmartKit easier to try before committing to an account.
Favorites for Faster Access
Users can now star tools and pin them to their dashboard.
Favorites stay available across devices when signed in, making it much easier to keep everyday tools one tap away.
New Tools Directory
SmartKit now has a full Tools page where users can browse all 51+ tools in one place.
The directory supports instant search and category filtering, helping users quickly find the exact tool they need without scrolling through unrelated pages.
Redesigned Homepage
The SmartKit homepage has been redesigned with a new landing experience.
The page now includes an animated hero, a clearer explanation of what SmartKit offers, category highlights, and a full tool directory so users can reach every tool more quickly.
The goal is simple: make SmartKit feel easier to understand from the first visit.
Profile Picture Cropper
Profile photo uploads now include a cropper.
Users can position their photo inside a circle, drag to adjust placement, and use a slider to zoom. This helps avatars look clean and properly framed across the dashboard and account areas.
Personal Dashboard Greetings
The dashboard now greets users with rotating friendly messages based on the time of day.
Greetings use the user’s local time, making the dashboard feel a little more personal each time it opens.
Quick Links and Dashboard Footer
The dashboard sidebar now includes quick access to Shortener, Changelog, and Blog.
A new footer also adds About us and social links, giving the dashboard a more complete and connected feel.
Mobile-First Improvements
The dashboard, tools page, and homepage have been tuned end to end for phones.
Tabs and category filters now slide smoothly on smaller screens, and sideways scrolling problems have been cleaned up across the new experience.
Settings Rebuilt
Settings has been reorganized into a cleaner tabbed layout.
Profile, security, email, appearance, and storage controls are now easier to find and manage from one place.
Sharper Branding and Interface Fixes
The dashboard now uses the SmartKit logo, favicon, and Inter font throughout for a more unified look.
Profile pictures no longer appear stretched, and broken avatars now fall back cleanly to user initials.
The account menu has also been fixed so signing out and opening Settings work reliably. The Help and Support link is no longer cut off for installed app users, homepage animated lines now display correctly on mobile, and the Settings icon plus various tool icons now render more sharply.
Coming Soon
Dark mode is planned across the whole site and every tool.
Collections are also planned, giving users a way to group favorite tools by project.
This update makes SmartKit easier to enter, easier to navigate, and much faster to use, whether someone is signed in, browsing as a guest, or returning to their favorite tools every day.
