TicketDesk Queue Tracking and AssetTracker SIM Card Management

SmartKit Updates
July 2, 2026

SmartKit’s July 2, 2026 update improves TicketDesk ticket visibility and adds a major new SIM Cards feature to AssetTracker.

TicketDesk Queue Positions

Tickets that are waiting to be handled now show a live queue position, such as Queue #3, instead of only showing New.

This appears for both the support team and the requester on the public ticket status page. The queue number updates automatically as tickets ahead of it move into active work, helping requesters understand where their ticket stands without needing to ask for an update.

Ticket Source Visibility

The Tickets list and Dashboard now show which custom form each ticket came from.

This makes it easier for teams managing multiple request forms to understand the source and context of every request at a glance.

Expected Resolution Time

When changing a ticket to In Progress, support teams can now add an optional Expected Time to be Solved.

This information is saved into the internal ticket timeline and also appears in the requester’s public history, giving users clearer expectations while work is underway.

Cleaner Status Badges

Status badges such as New, In Progress, and Queue now stay on one line across the Tickets list, Dashboard, ticket detail page, and public status page.

This small UI fix keeps ticket pages cleaner and easier to scan.

Better Closed Ticket Experience

Closed tickets now show a clear green badge on the public status page.

If a requester believes the issue is not actually fixed, they can use the new Submit a New Ticket Referencing This One option to create a follow-up request with context from the previous ticket.

Closed tickets are now also locked from further status changes. This is enforced both on the screen and on the server side, keeping completed records stable.

Global Ticket Search

TicketDesk now includes global search across every workspace you manage.

You can find a ticket by ticket number, requester name, or email address without first knowing which company workspace it belongs to.

Stronger Public Portal Links

We fixed a serious issue where two unrelated companies created hours apart could silently overwrite each other’s public portal link.

Each company’s portal link now lives in its own file, so portal links remain separate and stable no matter how many companies sign up.

AssetTracker Site Code Fixes

AssetTracker now handles Site Code data more reliably.

We fixed a bug where the Site Code column could appear blank for every device due to an incomplete index rebuild during device assignment or return. Existing missing site codes have been repaired across user data.

We also fixed the same issue when a device is returned to a store, ensuring the Site Code remains accurate.

Device and SIM Deletion Fix

Deleting an available device or SIM sitting in a store now works correctly.

Previously, the system could incorrectly report that the item was currently assigned and block deletion. That logic has now been fixed.

New SIM Cards Feature

AssetTracker now includes full SIM card management.

Teams can manage a SIM Cards directory with add, edit, and delete actions. SIMs can be assigned to employees, sites, or stores, returned to a store, and tracked through a dedicated SIM history timeline.

Employee profiles now show SIMs assigned to that person alongside their assigned devices.

Site profiles now show how many SIM cards are at that site, with a full table showing which SIM belongs to whom.

The Dashboard also now includes total and available SIM counts alongside devices, employees, sites, and stores.

Activity History Improvements

The global Activity History feed now links each event to the correct asset type.

Device events link to devices, and SIM events link to SIMs, instead of always pointing to the Devices area.

This update gives TicketDesk clearer ticket progress tracking and gives AssetTracker a stronger foundation for managing both hardware devices and SIM cards in one place.
