TicketDesk Status Lookup, Message Templates, and Mobile Fixes
SmartKit’s July 16, 2026 update improves TicketDesk status lookup, agent messaging, email wording, mobile layouts, and overall support portal usability.
Fixed Email Status Links
The Check Status button in ticket emails now opens the correct ticket status page.
Previously, the link could lead to a Portal Unavailable page. It now opens the status page properly, fills in the ticket reference automatically, and runs the lookup for the requester.
Ticket email links have also been cleaned up to use shorter and tidier web addresses.
Reference-Only Ticket Status Lookup
TicketDesk now supports status lookup using only the ticket reference number when email is optional.
Previously, if a ticket was submitted with an email address, the requester had to provide that email to view the status. This update makes status checks easier for forms where email verification or email collection is not required.
Quick-Fill Status Message Templates
Agents now get quick-fill message templates when changing a ticket’s status.
Instead of typing the same update from scratch every time, agents can click a suggested message and use it as the status note. This helps speed up common ticket updates while keeping requesters informed.
More Flexible Email Wording
TicketDesk notification emails now use broader wording.
We changed references from IT support ticket to support ticket, making the emails fit more types of businesses, departments, and service workflows beyond IT teams.
Better Ticket List Layout
The Tickets list now handles the Created column properly.
The column is no longer cut off. On desktop, the table scrolls cleanly when needed. On mobile, tickets stack into readable cards so the page remains easy to use on smaller screens.
Cleaner Company Cards
The Companies page now has better button alignment.
Workspace card buttons line up neatly even when company names have different lengths, giving the page a more consistent layout.
Mobile-Friendly Public Portal
The public support portal, ticket submission form, and ticket status pages are now more mobile-friendly.
Spacing has been tightened, headings are sized better for phones, and the public ticket flow is easier to read and use on small screens.
Text Box Layout Protection
Reply and status-update text boxes can no longer be dragged sideways outside the layout.
This keeps ticket detail pages tidy and prevents accidental layout breakage while agents are typing updates.
This update makes TicketDesk smoother for requesters and agents, with clearer status access, faster updates, cleaner emails, and better mobile support across the public portal.
